Please be advised, our Police Department has had a number of reported incidents of vehicle break-ins in the Yorkshire and London Neighborhoods in the past two weeks.

Please remember to properly secure your vehicle(s) by locking all doors, ensuring your truck is closed, and rolling up your windows each night. It is highly recommended not to keep items of value (such as cellular telephones, laptop computers, wallets/purses, loose change, MP3 players, etc.) in your vehicle. If such an occurrence is necessary, please place the item(s) in an area out of view. Placement in the vehicle’s trunk would prove most desirable in these instances.

Your ongoing attention to this matter would assist us in deterring further incidents of vehicle break-ins and thefts, as well as minimize the exposure of our neighborhoods to criminal activity.

Always remember, if you SEE SOMETHING suspicious, out-of-the-ordinary, or illegal occurring, please SAY SOMETHING. You can contact a patrol supervisor directly by contacting the Community Tipline at (609) 233-8548. Also, feel free to use “eTips” through our website for non-emergent or prior committed offenses.

If you are witnessing an emergency or a crime-in-progress, please call 9-1-1!!
