It is with extreme sadness that the City of Burlington Police Department announces the passing of our beloved K9 Zero.

Police K9 Zero was born on November 5, 2011 in Burlington City. K9 Zero started the Philladelphia K9 Academy in February of 2013. In May of 2013 he successfully graduated and became an Explosive Detection K9. Later on in his career, he decided that he wanted to work harder and was trained in article search and tracking. K9 Zero conducted hundreds of explosives searches for numerous towns in Burlington County and surrounding areas. He was deployed to Seasight Heights after the horrible explosion. Most importantly, he attended numerous community events, school functions and he was honored by many organizations. He was a big furry brother to Zoey and Karma. He believed that the police station was his and he was very protective of it. He loved everyone and he is thankful for everyone who loved him. He was diagnosed with Cancer in August of 2021 and despite being given 2-4 months, he stayed for 7. He fought hard to stay around and he never stopped working. Thank you for your service K9 Zero. You have dedicated almost 9 years of life to the residents of Burlington City and surrounding areas. Your mom will love you forever and you will always have a special place in her heart. šŸ’™ šŸ¾
