The City of Burlington Police Department and FOP Lodge 63 would like to congratulate Chief John Fine for being honored as our 2024 Trenton Thunder Hometown Hero!

Chief Fine began his career in 1999 as a SLEO Class I officer and was a Police Explorer prior to being employed with BCPD. He was hired as a full-time officer in 2001 and rose through the ranks in the Detective Bureau, Special Response Team, Traffic Unit, and Police Administration.

Chief Fine was appointed Chief of Police by Mayor Barry Conaway in April 2019. Chief Fine implemented several changes within the department as well as arranged programs such as the Riverfront Chaplains, Volunteers of America, Straight to Treatment, and Burlington County Social Services to partner with BCPD. He also worked collectively with the City of Burlington School District to implement what is now a very successful School Resource Officer program, among many other Community Policing Initiatives.

Come out and support Chief Fine and the rest of our Hometown Heroes Thursday, June 27th, at 7 p.m. at the Trenton Thunder Ballpark.
