Memorial service for retired Det. Janson will be held this Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at the Lyceum Hall located at 432 High St. Burlington from 9am to 11am.

Detective Frederick (Fred) Janson, Badge 9026 (Ret.) passed away December of 2023. Det. Janson retired from BCPD in 1997.

There are a handful of BCPD police officers who become so popular in town, they are household names during and after their career. Detective Fred Janson’s name is legendary within our agency and our community.  Our sincere condolences to the friends and family of Det. Janson.
