Our Mission Statement
The mission of the City of Burlington Police Division is to ensure the best quality of life for our citizens through partnerships with the community, enforcement of the law, and the provision of a safe environment. We will act professionally, and ensure that all officers conduct themselves with the highest level of moral and ethical standards.

Straight to Treatment
It is a program created to help those that are caught in the powerful grip of addiction and substance abuse – but would like to break free – with the opportunity to be connected to a program to assist them with overcoming their addiction. You do NOT need insurance to participate.

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley (VOADV) is a local affiliate of national, non-profit organization, Volunteers of America, and provides essential services to our community’s most vulnerable individuals. Each year, we serve more than 13,000 individuals throughout the southern New Jersey and Philadelphia region and operates more than 40 high quality, outcome-driven assistance programs – from homelessness, reentry, veteran’s assistance and affordable housing services to specialized programs for individuals with addiction, traumatic brain injury and/or intellectual disabilities.

PUBLIC HEARING ANNOUNCEMENT for John F. Kennedy Park Improvement Project, Jakes’ Law Inclusive Playground, to be held at City Hall, Tue., Feb. 6, at 7 pm The City of Burlington is seeking funding through the State of New Jersey Green Acres Program for improvements at John F. Kennedy Park, located at 560 Wood Street, Burlington City, NJ 08016, near the intersection of Wood Street and Route 130 South. The City of Burlington proposes to create the following new facilities at John F. Kennedy Park: an inclusive Jake’s Law Playground. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found at: https://www.burlingtonnj.us/newsdetail_T3_R1680.php. "Thank You" to Harry Newton of Raising Cane's in Burlington Township for hosting a celebration for our Hometown Hero Kiyan! Mayor Conaway, members of the Burlington City and Burlington Township Police and Fire Departments, as well as friends and family gathered to celebrate Kiyan. Not only did they donate all the food, Kiyan was also gifted a Raising Cane's basket. And as if that wasn't enough, they also sent dinner back to the station for the night shift! Burlington County Expungement Clinic – Thursday, November 2nd
The free annual event also features a job and resource fair. The third annual Burlington County Expungement Clinic will be held Thursday, November 2nd from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at two locations, Tabernacle Baptist Church in Burlington City and the JFK Recreation Center in Willingboro Township. Those who attend will be able to speak with an attorney to see whether certain non-violent convictions can be expunged, which means they will be erased from their criminal history. “Many people who made mistakes earlier in life are still being punished simply because they have a criminal record,” Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw said. “They have already paid their debt to society, and should not continue to be punished by their history when they apply for jobs, housing or other services they may need to improve their situations and help their families.” Prosecutor Bradshaw emphasized that this service, which is entirely free, would be very costly if done through a private attorney. Trunk or Treat on the Promenade – Saturday, 10/28
City of Burlington Students, you're invited to Trunk or Treat on the Promenade, Sat., Oct. 28, from 5 to 6 pm. Come get a ticket and starting trunk-or-treating at decorated cars on the Promenade. The public also is invited to drop off candy donations at City Hall and Pearl Pointe Leasing Office by Wed. Oct 25 (and you also can drop off food donations for Food Bank of South Jersey on Saturday as you stroll the Promenade before the Ghost Tours, which begin at 6:30 at the Anchor.

NATIONAL POLICE WEEK 2023: HONORING AND REMEMBERING OUR FALLEN LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS Again, this year, communities across the United States will honor and remember those law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as the family members, friends, and fellow officers they left behind. This year, the names of 556 officers killed in the line of duty are being added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC. These 556 officers include 224 officers who were killed during 2022, plus 332 officers who died in previous years, but whose stories of sacrifice had been lost to history until now. The City of Burlington Police Department and the Edgewater Park Township Police Department are now accepting applications for our joint Youth Police Academy 2023.
