Our Mission Statement
The mission of the City of Burlington Police Division is to ensure the best quality of life for our citizens through partnerships with the community, enforcement of the law, and the provision of a safe environment. We will act professionally, and ensure that all officers conduct themselves with the highest level of moral and ethical standards.

Straight to Treatment
It is a program created to help those that are caught in the powerful grip of addiction and substance abuse – but would like to break free – with the opportunity to be connected to a program to assist them with overcoming their addiction. You do NOT need insurance to participate.

Burlington County Recovery Center
The Recovery Center serves as a “one-stop” destination where individuals can be paired with a recovery peer, and obtain information about treatment programs, recovery support services and community resources. Wellness activities and classes, and recovery groups are also scheduled and held here.
PRESS RELEASE – 4/1/24
On Sunday, March 31, 2024 at approximately 8:06 PM, Burlington City Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the 800 block of North Route 130 for a reported structure fire with possible victims trapped. Upon their arrival, units were faced with a working fire and an individual trapped on the second floor of the house. Firefighters were able to successfully rescue the victim and quickly extinguish the fire. The victim was transported to Saint Christopher’s Hospital in Philadelphia, PA by PENNSTAR aeromedical. The incident required the assistance of numerous mutual aid first responders as well as The American Red Cross. This incident is still under investigation, however the cause is not believed to be suspicious in nature.

Sheriff James H. Kostoplis wants to remind Senior Citizens of Burlington County, that the Burlington County Sheriff’s Office offers FREE home security inspections! What this free program covers: -Home security inspections/suggestions -Emergency battery lights -Installations of locks -Installation of door viewers (door peepholes) -Smoke/carbon monoxide detectors In order to be eligible for this free program: -Applicants must be at least age sixty (60) -Applicants must live in Burlington County If you have questions about this program or would like to submit an application, please contact the Senior Services Unit at 609-265-5796. Accreditation On-Site Assessment
Thank You to New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police Accreditation Assessors Chief Frank LoSacco and Lieutenant Brian Boucher who assisted the City of Burlington Police Department with the Accreditation on-site assessment yesterday. A special thanks to the community and our fellow law enforcement members for showing their support during the on-site assessment. Also, thank you to our Accreditation Manager Lieutenant Michael Ekelburg and Matthew Wiesniewski for their hard work with this process.
