The mission of the City of Burlington Police Division is to ensure the best quality of life for our citizens through partnerships with the community, enforcement of the law, and the provision of a safe environment. We will act professionally, and ensure that all officers conduct themselves with the highest level of moral and ethical standards.
Straight to Treatment
It is a program created to help those that are caught in the powerful grip of addiction and substance abuse – but would like to break free – with the opportunity to be connected to a program to assist them with overcoming their addiction. You do NOT need insurance to participate.
Burlington County Recovery Center
The Recovery Center serves as a “one-stop” destination where individuals can be paired with a recovery peer, and obtain information about treatment programs, recovery support services and community resources. Wellness activities and classes, and recovery groups are also scheduled and held here.

UCEDC’s Entrepreneurship as a Second Chance Program
The Entrepreneurship as a Second Chance (ESC) initiative offers formerly incarcerated, or court-involved individuals the opportunity to explore re-entry into society through business ownership. Press Release – 7/19/23
PRESS RELEASE Wednesday, July 19, 2023 On Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at approximately 5:53 p.m., Burlington City Police Patrols were dispatched to the 200 Block of Barclay Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, Officers located one gunshot victim, a 33-year-old male Burlington City resident. The victim was transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Initial investigation revealed that the shooting potentially stemmed from a dispute earlier in the day and this incident was not a random act of violence. Detectives are still working on the details that led up to the shooting. Burlington County Sheriff’s Department – Senior Citizen Police Academy
Sheriff Basantis and Undersheriff Kostoplis are excited to announce the Burlington County Sheriff's Department upcoming Senior Citizen Police Academy!! Some of the topics discussed will be: consumer fraud, narcotics awareness, CPR/First Aid, personal safety, fire safety, home security, K-9 Demo, and much more!! Classes will be held 7 consecutive Thursdays beginning September 15, 2022 to October 27, 2022. The duration of each class will be from 1 pm to 3 pm, and they will take place at the Mount Laurel Senior Center, 100 Mt. Laurel Road, Mt. Laurel 08054. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for Sergeant Matthews to collect his card! The first child that comes to Police Headquarters at 525 High Street with the complete card set containing all 43 cards, will be gifted a new bicycle of their choice from Burlington County Bikes donated by the members of Lodge #63!
