Congratulations on your Retirement Corporal Hesson!!
The City of Burlington Police Department would like to Congratulate Corporal Stephen Hesson on his Retirement after Twenty-Five dedicated years of service. Corporal Hesson was named Officer of the Year in 2020, as well as receiving numerous accolades during his career. Corporal Hesson had a very special way of building relationships with the residents, especially with the youth. Kids would come in constantly to see Officer "Hess" to tell him about a good grade they received, talk about sports, get advice, or even just to say hi. During the summer months you could find Corporal Hesson passing out water ice or happy meals to groups of kids. Corporal Hesson is a shining example of Community Policing and he will surely be missed! Thank you Corporal Hesson for your dedication to the City of Burlington Police Department and our residents. Congratulations on your Retirement!
