Our Mission Statement
The mission of the City of Burlington Police Division is to ensure the best quality of life for our citizens through partnerships with the community, enforcement of the law, and the provision of a safe environment. We will act professionally, and ensure that all officers conduct themselves with the highest level of moral and ethical standards.

Straight to Treatment
It is a program created to help those that are caught in the powerful grip of addiction and substance abuse – but would like to break free – with the opportunity to be connected to a program to assist them with overcoming their addiction. You do NOT need insurance to participate.

Burlington County Recovery Center
The Recovery Center serves as a “one-stop” destination where individuals can be paired with a recovery peer, and obtain information about treatment programs, recovery support services and community resources. Wellness activities and classes, and recovery groups are also scheduled and held here.

Trenton Thunder Hometown Hero Game: June 26
The City of Burlington Police Department is proud to congratulate Officer Najah Pruden on being recognized as our 2025 Trenton Thunder Hometown Hero. Officer Pruden began his career with the City of Burlington Police Department in 2019 as a full-time police officer. In July 2024, he expanded his role by joining the SWAT team, where he responds to high-risk situations and helps ensure the safety of our community. A Burlington native, Officer Pruden takes great pride in giving back to the city he calls home. He volunteers as a youth basketball coach and is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of young people. The Burlington City Boardwalk Street Festival is kicking off Saturday, April 26 from 12 PM – 5 PM on High Street and the Promenade. It is going to be a blast with food vendors, crafters, live music, and a fun kids' zone! There will be road closures and no parking zones in parts of downtown between 7 AM and 6 PM to keep everyone safe during the event. Advisory: 100 Block of East Federal will be blocked by barricades and police officers will be posted to strictly regulate and monitor activity due to recent gunfire incidents in the past 48 hours. Times of this effort will vary and will not be publicly announced in addition to other enforcement efforts. Residents will not have restricted travel or parking, but police officers will inquire and closely monitor activities. Please note that innocent civilians had their vehicles and homes damaged by gunfire and police officers were met last evening with active gunfire, along with one person being struck. This was the second gunfire incident in the past 48 hours on the 100 Block of East Federal Street. A formal News Release will be posted shortly. Due the seriousness of this incident, the City of Burlington Police Department will be acting swiftly to mitigate concerns. NEWS RELEASE September 27, 2021 BCPD Investigating Potential Bomb Threat The City of Burlington Police Department is investigating a potential bomb threat at the Amazon Warehouse, located at 1101 East Pearl Street, Burlington City. At approximately 6:42 a.m. this date, Central Communications received a 9-1-1 call reporting a potential bomb threat at the Amazon Warehouse. Officers from the City of Burlington Police Department, as well as several other agencies are on location at this time. All employees have been evacuated and this investigation is ongoing. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
National Prescription Drug Takeback Day: April 26
Saturday, April 26th is National Prescription Drug Takeback Day. You can drop off old prescriptions from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at City Hall, 525 High Street, Burlington City. City of Burlington Holiday Extravaganza: Saturday, December 7
The City of Burlington Holiday Extravaganza kicks off at 1PM on the downtown Promenade with the Annual Holiday Village. Line up for the Holiday Parade will be from 3:45 - 4:45PM with the Parade starting promptly at 5:00PM followed by the Tree Lighting.
