Our Mission Statement
The mission of the City of Burlington Police Division is to ensure the best quality of life for our citizens through partnerships with the community, enforcement of the law, and the provision of a safe environment. We will act professionally, and ensure that all officers conduct themselves with the highest level of moral and ethical standards.

Straight to Treatment
It is a program created to help those that are caught in the powerful grip of addiction and substance abuse – but would like to break free – with the opportunity to be connected to a program to assist them with overcoming their addiction. You do NOT need insurance to participate.

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley (VOADV) is a local affiliate of national, non-profit organization, Volunteers of America, and provides essential services to our community’s most vulnerable individuals. Each year, we serve more than 13,000 individuals throughout the southern New Jersey and Philadelphia region and operates more than 40 high quality, outcome-driven assistance programs – from homelessness, reentry, veteran’s assistance and affordable housing services to specialized programs for individuals with addiction, traumatic brain injury and/or intellectual disabilities.
News Release – Death Investigation – 1/27/23
NEWS RELEASE January 27, 2023 Death Investigation On January 26, 2023, at approximately 2:37pm, the City of Burlington Police Department was dispatched to the area of Commerce Square Boulevard for a report of an unconscious person alongside the Delaware River. When patrol officers arrived, they found a male who was deceased. Detectives from the City of Burlington Police Department responded to the scene. The male was identified as a 38 year old Burlington Township resident. His name will not be released at this time. There were no obvious signs of foul play and the investigation revealed that he entered the water in the area of Riverbank and Wood Street the day prior, on January 25, 2023, where his vehicle was located by detectives. The body was turned over to the Burlington County Medical Examiner’s Office and the investigation is continuing. Assisting agencies in this case include the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and Burlington County Medical Examiner’s Office.
