Our Mission Statement
The mission of the City of Burlington Police Division is to ensure the best quality of life for our citizens through partnerships with the community, enforcement of the law, and the provision of a safe environment. We will act professionally, and ensure that all officers conduct themselves with the highest level of moral and ethical standards.

Straight to Treatment
It is a program created to help those that are caught in the powerful grip of addiction and substance abuse – but would like to break free – with the opportunity to be connected to a program to assist them with overcoming their addiction. You do NOT need insurance to participate.

Burlington County Recovery Center
The Recovery Center serves as a “one-stop” destination where individuals can be paired with a recovery peer, and obtain information about treatment programs, recovery support services and community resources. Wellness activities and classes, and recovery groups are also scheduled and held here.
Job Opening – School Crossing Guards
The City of Burlington Police Department has IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for dedicated individuals to join our team of school crossing guards. Serve the community by protecting the children of Burlington City as they walk to and from school every day. We work SCHOOL DAYS ONLY! Seniors welcomed. 15 hours per week, $15.05 an hour. Welcome Officer Roosevelt McKinney!
Congratulations to Officer Roosevelt McKinney, Badge #113, who graduated from the Camden County College Police Academy today! Chief Fine, Captain Elbertson, and Lieutenant Ekelburg were on hand for the ceremony. A Burlington City High School Graduate and raised here in the City, Ptl. McKinney will be patrolling the neighborhoods he grew up in while assigned to the Patrol Division. Congratulations!!!!!
Road Closure 7/13/22 – 7/22/22
Riverbank Avenue will be closed to thru traffic from Wednesday, July 13th to Friday, July 22 from the Burlington Bristol Bridge to Talbot Street. Please seek alternate routes.
BCPD Trading Cards – Throwback with Captain Elbertson!
***THROWBACK THURSDAY - Captain Bob Elbertson*** Has your child starting collecting BCPD trading cards yet? Each Thursday we will be posting a “Throwback” photo of Officers throwback and current cards. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for Captain Elbertson to collect his card! The first child that comes to Police Headquarters at 525 High Street with the complete card set containing all 43 cards, will be gifted a new bicycle of their choice from Burlington County Bikes donated by the members of Lodge #63!
