Straight to Treatment
It is a program created to help those that are caught in the powerful grip of addiction and substance abuse – but would like to break free – with the opportunity to be connected to a program to assist them with overcoming their addiction. You do NOT need insurance to participate.

Burlington County Recovery Center
The Recovery Center serves as a “one-stop” destination where individuals can be paired with a recovery peer, and obtain information about treatment programs, recovery support services and community resources. Wellness activities and classes, and recovery groups are also scheduled and held here.
April is Autism Awareness Month
There are so many ways to recognize Autism Awareness Month, and The City of Burlington Police Department is excited to announce a seat belt cover program alerting first responders that the wearer is on the Autism spectrum and may respond to aiding emergency responders with resistance. The seatbelt covers are blue with the words, "I have Autism" Elliot Ferrell was kind enough to model of the seat belt covers for the police department. The seat belt covers are available for pick up at the police station.
PRESS RELEASE – 4/19/22
On Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at approximately 4:36PM, Burlington City Police patrols observed Jevon Mobley, age 28 of Burlington City walking near the intersection of York St and Green St. Officers were aware of an active arrest warrant for Mobley issued by the Edgewater Park Twp. Municipal Court. As patrol officers approached Mobley they advised him verbally that he had a warrant for his arrest and that he was under arrest. Mobley immediately fled on foot and officers pursued him. After a brief foot pursuit officers were able to take Mobley into custody. During the arrest Mobley was found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine, heroin, and prescription medication not prescribed to him by a licensed medical practitioner. As a result of the incident one officer sustained an arm injury that required medical attention. The officer was treated at a local medical facility and has returned to duty. Mobley was subsequently charge with Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement officer, Resisting Arrest, Hindering his own Apprehension, Obstructing Administration of Law, Possession [...]
Press Release – 4/13/22
PRESS RELEASE On Saturday, April 2, 2022 at approximately 5:50PM, Burlington City Police Patrols observed a subject in the area of East Federal St. and Lawrence St. who had an active warrant for his arrest as a result of a domestic violence incident. Upon observing police, the subject immediately fled on foot. Officers gave him numerous commands to stop and that he was under arrest, however he continued to flee. After a brief foot pursuit officers were able to apprehend him, however he continued to physically resist and fight officers until being taken into custody. During this incident one officer sustained a wrist injury that required medical attention at a local hospital. The officer continues to be treated for the injury. Korey Williams, age 38 of Burlington City was subsequently charged with Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Administration of Law and Hindering His Own Apprehension. Williams was lodged in the Burlington County Detention Facility. ** All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a Court of Law**
Enforcement of City Ordinance 84-61
As a reminder, please do not feed feral cats. Pursuant to Burlington City Ordinance 84-61: A. No person shall keep an animal on a property in a manner that causes one or more of the following: unsanitary conditions; infestation by insects or rodents; physical conditions that endanger the health or safety of humans. B. No person shall maintain or feed any animal, domesticated or wild, in a manner that causes one or more of the following: unsanitary conditions; infestation by insects or rodents; physical conditions that endanger the health or safety of humans. C. Community cat colonies shall be permitted, and caregivers shall be entitled to maintain them, in accordance with the terms and conditions of this article.
