Straight to Treatment
It is a program created to help those that are caught in the powerful grip of addiction and substance abuse – but would like to break free – with the opportunity to be connected to a program to assist them with overcoming their addiction. You do NOT need insurance to participate.

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley (VOADV) is a local affiliate of national, non-profit organization, Volunteers of America, and provides essential services to our community’s most vulnerable individuals. Each year, we serve more than 13,000 individuals throughout the southern New Jersey and Philadelphia region and operates more than 40 high quality, outcome-driven assistance programs – from homelessness, reentry, veteran’s assistance and affordable housing services to specialized programs for individuals with addiction, traumatic brain injury and/or intellectual disabilities.

BCPD Announces Newest K9 Handler and K9
The City of Burlington Police Department would like to congratulate Officer Aaron Martinez on being selected to become the next BCPD K-9 Handler for Department. Ptl. Martinez and his family will meet their new family member and BCPD member, K-9 Doc, in honor of Roy Halladay, tomorrow at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies. THANK YOU to Philadelphia Phillies Pitcher Archie Bradley and fiancee' Reagan Poole for their donation of K-9 Doc. Ptl. Martinez will attend the Philadelphia Police K-9 Academy in January 2022. NEWS RELEASE – Attempt to Identify
BCPD Requesting Public’s Assistance in identifying Suspects in Video/Attempted Carjacking/Agg. Assault On Sunday, September 5, 2021 at approximately 8:48pm, the City of Burlington Police Department were dispatched to the 200 block of Wood St. for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers met with the victims who reported that their two-year old child sustained a graze wound to the thigh. The injury was minor and did not require medical attention. The victims reported three male subjects in dark clothing approached them and attempted to carjack them. During the altercation one of the subjects brandished a firearm and shot twice into the vehicle. The subjects then fled the area on foot. Contrary to initial reports, further investigation revealed that the victims appeared to be targeted, potentially narcotic related, and this was not a random event. Furthermore, through surveillance video, it appears that both the victims and suspects entered the area of Wood Street in vehicles, and all parties fled the area in vehicles prior to officers locating the crime scene.
