Straight to Treatment
It is a program created to help those that are caught in the powerful grip of addiction and substance abuse – but would like to break free – with the opportunity to be connected to a program to assist them with overcoming their addiction. You do NOT need insurance to participate.

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley (VOADV) is a local affiliate of national, non-profit organization, Volunteers of America, and provides essential services to our community’s most vulnerable individuals. Each year, we serve more than 13,000 individuals throughout the southern New Jersey and Philadelphia region and operates more than 40 high quality, outcome-driven assistance programs – from homelessness, reentry, veteran’s assistance and affordable housing services to specialized programs for individuals with addiction, traumatic brain injury and/or intellectual disabilities.
**SCAM ALERT**
There has been an increase in a broad range of phone scams in Burlington County. Some of these scams are relating to: the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccination cards, stimulus payment checks, and/or Sheriff Warrants. Most recently victims are being called from a number that appears to be from the Burlington County Department of Health or from the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department. Some of these calls are coming in as “Robocalls” and others the scammers are asking for money, Medicare information and other sensitive information. Please DO NOT give any financial or personal information such as Social Security and/or Medicare/Medicaid numbers over the phone! If you receive a call of this nature, please call the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department Special Investigations Unit at 609-265-5504. Thank you and STAY SAFE!!
Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Burlington City
BURLINGTON CITY - Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and City of Burlington Police Chief John Fine announced that a 39-year-old city resident has been charged with stabbing a man in the neck yesterday morning inside a house in the 500 block of Linden Avenue. Terrell Dennis, of the 100 block of East Federal Street, was charged with Attempted Murder (First Degree), Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose (Third Degree) and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (Fourth Degree). Dennis was arrested yesterday evening in Camden and lodged in the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly. A detention hearing will be held later this week. The investigation began after City of Burlington police officers were called to the residence just after 7 a.m. yesterday for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they discovered that the victim, 28, had been stabbed in the neck with a kitchen knife. He was taken to a Trenton hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition.
