On Sunday, March 31, 2024 at approximately 8:06 PM, Burlington City Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the 800 block of North Route 130 for a reported structure fire with possible victims trapped. Upon their arrival, units were faced with a working fire and an individual trapped on the second floor of the house. Firefighters were able to successfully rescue the victim and quickly extinguish the fire. The victim was transported to Saint Christopher’s Hospital in Philadelphia, PA by PENNSTAR aeromedical. The incident required the assistance of numerous mutual aid first responders as well as The American Red Cross.
This incident is still under investigation, however the cause is not believed to be suspicious in nature.
