On April 1, 2023 at approximately 7:45 PM, the City of Burlington Police Department responded to the area of Route 130 South and Uhler Ave. for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene and was transported to the Burlington County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The victim was later identified as Jeremiah McCarthy, age 70 of Burlington Twp., New Jersey. The driver, a 70 year old male from Burlington Twp., New Jersey was not injured and remained on location.
This case is currently being investigated by the City of Burlington Police Department, Traffic Unit and Criminal Investigation Division.
