The City of Burlington Police Honor Guard is a ceremonial unit, composed of Officers who volunteer their time. The volunteers are highly motivated individuals who maintain exceptionally high standards of appearance and conduct and show aptitude for ceremonial duty. This unit is dedicated to upholding the traditions and values of law enforcement. From performing ceremonial duties across the Tri-State area to presenting the colors at local professional venues and sporting events, and honoring fallen officers at memorial services, the Honor Guard serves with dignity, precision, and respect.
The City of Burlington Police Honor Guard members are trained in the protocol and upkeep of equipment and uniforms. Members of the unit proudly wear the original City of Burlington Police Department patch, a symbol of our history dating back to the late 1800s and a lasting commitment to honor, tradition, and service. These Officers take pride in their duties to serve when necessary.
