Our Mission Statement
The mission of the City of Burlington Police Division is to ensure the best quality of life for our citizens through partnerships with the community, enforcement of the law, and the provision of a safe environment. We will act professionally, and ensure that all officers conduct themselves with the highest level of moral and ethical standards.
Straight to Treatment
It is a program created to help those that are caught in the powerful grip of addiction and substance abuse – but would like to break free – with the opportunity to be connected to a program to assist them with overcoming their addiction. You do NOT need insurance to participate.
Burlington County Recovery Center
The Recovery Center serves as a “one-stop” destination where individuals can be paired with a recovery peer, and obtain information about treatment programs, recovery support services and community resources. Wellness activities and classes, and recovery groups are also scheduled and held here.

PUBLIC HEARING ANNOUNCEMENT for John F. Kennedy Park Improvement Project, Jakes’ Law Inclusive Playground, to be held at City Hall, Tue., Feb. 6, at 7 pm The City of Burlington is seeking funding through the State of New Jersey Green Acres Program for improvements at John F. Kennedy Park, located at 560 Wood Street, Burlington City, NJ 08016, near the intersection of Wood Street and Route 130 South. The City of Burlington proposes to create the following new facilities at John F. Kennedy Park: an inclusive Jake’s Law Playground. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found at: https://www.burlingtonnj.us/newsdetail_T3_R1680.php. The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 7:00 pm. Youth Police Academy 2023!
The City of Burlington Police Department and the Edgewater Park Township Police Department are now accepting applications for our joint Youth Police Academy 2023. Applications may be picked up at either department or by clicking the link below. Any questions please contact Edgewater Park Police Lieutenant John Harris, Burlington City Police Detective Will Lancenese or Burlington City Police Reserve Officer Jeff Green. Breakfast with our Boys Series
Have you heard of Breakfast with our Boys?? "The mission of the Breakfast with Our Boys Series, is to provide male youth with guidance and support, to become productive, caring and responsible citizens in their communities" Breakfast with Our Boys Series is a monthly interactive conversation with boy's 10-15 years of age, over breakfast. The conversations are designed to empower our youth to excel in school, dream bigger, discover their passion and lead healthy lives.
