The mission of the City of Burlington Police Division is to ensure the best quality of life for our citizens through partnerships with the community, enforcement of the law, and the provision of a safe environment. We will act professionally, and ensure that all officers conduct themselves with the highest level of moral and ethical standards.

Straight to Treatment
It is a program created to help those that are caught in the powerful grip of addiction and substance abuse – but would like to break free – with the opportunity to be connected to a program to assist them with overcoming their addiction. You do NOT need insurance to participate.

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley (VOADV) is a local affiliate of national, non-profit organization, Volunteers of America, and provides essential services to our community’s most vulnerable individuals. Each year, we serve more than 13,000 individuals throughout the southern New Jersey and Philadelphia region and operates more than 40 high quality, outcome-driven assistance programs – from homelessness, reentry, veteran’s assistance and affordable housing services to specialized programs for individuals with addiction, traumatic brain injury and/or intellectual disabilities.

PRESS RELEASE July 31, 2023 On Saturday, July 29, 2023 at approximately 11:55 PM Burlington City Police patrols were dispatched to the unit block of East Federal St for a report of gunshots. As officers arrived a resident from East Federal St. stated that her house had been hit by gunfire. The residence was struck by a stray bullet and was not the intended target. Officers and detectives found a casing at the scene, as well as a handgun. As a result of a subsequent investigation Crashon Diggs, age 20 of Burlington Twp. NJ was charged with numerous offenses. He was taken into custody on Saturday, July 31, 2023 during an unrelated incident. Diggs was lodged in the Burlington County Detention Facility pending Court. Diggs was charged with Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Receiving Stolen Property and Criminal Mischief. ** All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a Court of Law**
UCEDC’s Entrepreneurship as a Second Chance Program
The Entrepreneurship as a Second Chance (ESC) initiative offers formerly incarcerated, or court-involved individuals the opportunity to explore re-entry into society through business ownership. PRESS RELEASE Wednesday, July 19, 2023 On Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at approximately 5:53 p.m., Burlington City Police Patrols were dispatched to the 200 Block of Barclay Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, Officers located one gunshot victim, a 33-year-old male Burlington City resident. The victim was transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Initial investigation revealed that the shooting potentially stemmed from a dispute earlier in the day and this incident was not a random act of violence. Detectives are still working on the details that led up to the shooting. Burlington County Sheriff’s Department partnering with Burlington City Police to distribute toys, household goods

The new partnership kicked off Friday when the Sheriff’s Department delivered a large batch of new toys and household goods to Burlington City Police headquarters. The local force plans to distribute the toys and items to local children and families in need. The toys and goods are donated to the Sheriff’s Department’s Community Services Unit by individuals and businesses. The Sheriff originally began collecting toys and other items for its annual Holiday Toy Drive, but it has expanded to a year-round operation that has aided thousands of families. “The Toy Drive started as a way to ensure that all of the county’s children received a toy or gift during the holidays regardless of their circumstances,” said Burlington County Undersheriff Jim Kostoplis. “What we have discovered is that need exists year-round and our department could be a force to assist both children and [...]

Saturday, October 23rd is the Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA National Drug Take Back day! Don't be the dealer! Clean out your medicine cabinets and dispose of old medications.
